Ooooooooooooooooh! I love my digital camera!!!!! LOTS OF EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was having so much fun today playing with the different features, especially the color accent feature. It was a gray day, but that didn’t stop me from finding some fantastic color. I went to my old standby first - the gladiolas on the side of the house. I came up with today’s photo which I LOVE and have titled “First Kiss” because if you could see my feelings when I first kissed my husband, that’s what it would have looked like!
I posted a picture of my daughter which was taken with the color accent feature too (for my blog contest last week), and one of my favorite pictures of my son was taken with that feature too. It’s fun for dramatic effect and I like using it for flowers, especially single blooms.
It’s been interesting checking out all my camera can do. I’ve been playing with the manual setting a lot, trying out different shutter speeds… basically fiddling with it non-stop. The one thing I really need to start doing is keeping a little notebook with me so I can write down what I did so it’s not all just a shot in the dark (sometimes quite literally!)
I think this weekend I’ll be doing some traveling, and I’m sure I’ll find some interesting subject matter. Can’t wait to see what adventure the weekend brings!

I love my digital camera, too. I’ve had it for over a year and I just got around to playing with the different features…what a difference they have made in my photographs. Your photo of the glad is gorgeous.
Great photo! The color is so dynamic! I wish I had a good camera. Hubby and I have been meaning to buy a better one, but are still waiting for a bit more money in the savings account (: I can’t wait to get one that doesn’t blur every single picture or come out overexposed all the time!
