I posted a thread in the Etsy forum today asking for votes on which photograph should be featured here next.
Presenting “Fork You” a fun piece that would be perfect for your kitchen! Or get it as a note card and send one to your spouse (”Wanna Fork?”). The possibilites are endless! This piece is part of my latest obsession, a series I’ve titled “Tales from the Kitchen” There are a few more prints in my Etsy shop including the kitchen sink photo that was so popular here. It’s fun looking around and seeing my kitchen in a new way!
In other news, I am bone tired because I actually helped my husband mow the lawn today. When he was looking at houses (while I was still in Idaho) he almost didn’t go with this one because the lawn is HUGE and slopes down to the street on two sides. Well, of course every time he mows the lawn I have to hear about how he shouldn’t have picked this house blah blah blah blah. So today I took a turn out there in the blazing sun and humidity (you feel for me, don’t you?) and did the back part of the lawn.
The best part of this whole lawn thing was that I found two frogs hopping around! One big-ish (okay, smaller than my hand) frog and one teeny tiny one! Grace has been loving it out here because she has all kinds of wildlife to look at right in our back yard! We had a deer the other day, and bunnies that come all the time. If you’ve been reading the blog then you know all about Michael Jordan the turtle, and now frogs! Grace caught the little one (squealing and screaming) (Grace, not the frog!) and put it in a big bucket outside for a few hours, then let it hop on it’s way to wherever it is frogs go.
Now it’s getting on dinner time and an early showing of “Barbie as Rapunzel” in the livingroom (my daughter refers to it a “feeatur time” or “theater time” for those of you who don’t speak preschooler).
What shall I blog about next? Any photos you’d like to see? You are the reason I do these dear reader, so tell me true!

Hehe “Wanna Fork”…
Anyway! Your house sounds wonderful with all the wildlife but I do feel bad for you and your husband having to mow the lawn. There is this thing here that is getting popular is people plating clover which needs no mowing and does not allow weeds to grow but I am not sure if it is only in Canada that this can be planted…
I enjoy reading your blog!
I love your images of the . . . “ordinary” - they are extraordinary!
