An Expensive Coconut and Getting Featured

I will never buy another coconut again. Okay, not really… what I mean to say is, I will never try to crack open a coconut in the sink on top of the disposal using a large, heavy pipe wrench. You might be asking yourself “Liz, it sounds perfectly reasonable to crack a coconut in the sink on top of the disposal using a large, heavy pipe wrench” You would think that… but you would be wrong! You see, apparently disposals are not capable of handling large amounts of force slamming down on them multiple times. My husband told me so (don’t let him read that!). So when I went to wash my hands later and all the water that was supposed to be going down the drain was in fact running out over my feet, I decided to open the cupboard to investigate. There lay the disposal, like a great big dead… I don’t know… it was just dead looking. Not only that, multiple pieces of it were scattered around like guts, flung all willy nilly. After throwing the kids in the car and navigating Lowes, my poor husband (muttering “I told you so” constantly) had to put in a brand new disposal. All said and done, my little coconut cost around $85. Stink-O!

Now on a much brighter note, I was featured in a blog for the first time! Please go take a look! www.thewoodynook.blogspot.com. I want to say thank you to The Woody Nook for including me and having such lovely things to say. I know you’ll enjoy taking a peek at all her other fun blogtasticness (maybe I’ll use that in Scrabble next week…)

So long till next time!
